Aurora Pow Wow cancelled in 2006.  Mr. Schingoethe passed on and the pow wow just continued for his sake.  Mr. Schingoethe is one of the major sponsors of Aurora University

  Manistee and South Bend Pow Wows turned traditional from contest.  South Bend Pow Wow is moving to Algoniac, Michigan.

  Dr. Wesley Thomas, a Navajo professor of Indiana University in Bloomington, Indiana,  might take a teaching position in Farmington, New Mexico.
