The South Bend Pow wow by the Potawatomi Tribe was cancelled last year. They planned to relocate the Pow wow to Dowagiac, Michigan. For many years, it has been a tradition for the people of South Bend, Indiana to spend labor day weekend at St. Patrick's Park. Afraid that it would be a let down to them, Jonathan rented the park for a pow wow named THE FIRST ANNUAL ST. PATRICK'S PARK POW WOW. With the help of family and friends, he posted signs all over South Bend. At the day of the pow wow, Jonathan hauled the portable potties, the fences, the picnic tables, the garbage cans, etc. with his old beat-up van. He got a big shot in the arm when the TV crew arrived.
Soon people came and vehicles filled the whole parking lot. Lines were long and there were approx. 4,000 people celebrating the labor day weekend with us.
Jonathan signed a contract for next year. See you again, same time, same place.
